Job Title: Worship Leader - Encounter Church of Richmond (Kentucky)
Overview
Join our vibrant and growing Global Methodist church plant as we embark on an exciting journey of faith, community, and worship. We are seeking a dedicated Worship Leader to be a part of our core team, contributing to the foundation of a worship culture that resonates with the spirit and vision of our new church. Responsibilities
Musical Leadership:
Lead and curate the worship experience for our congregation, selecting songs that inspire and engage.
Collaborate with musicians and vocalists, fostering a sense of unity and joy in our worship team.
Invest in the development of musical talents within the worship team, and recruit others with a passion and ability.
Spiritual Leadership:
Infuse a spirit of authenticity and intimacy into our worship gatherings, encouraging a deep connection with God and a firm stand on scripture.
Work closely with the pastor to integrate worship seamlessly into the overall vision and mission of our growing church.
Engagement with Congregation:
Create an inviting and participatory atmosphere, cultivating a sense of belonging and community.
Develop innovative ways to engage newcomers and encourage their involvement in worship.
Event Planning and Coordination:
Assist in planning and executing special events, outreach initiatives, and community-building activities, infusing them with a worshipful spirit.
Collaborate with various ministries to integrate worship into our church plant's diverse activities.
Qualifications
Excitement for the unique challenges and opportunities of a church plant environment.
A skilled musician with the ability to lead and adapt to the evolving needs of our growing community.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Willingness to embrace change and flexibility in navigating the dynamic nature of a growing church.
Education and Experience
While formal education is a plus, a strong musical and spiritual calling, coupled with practical experience in worship leadership, will be highly valued.
Time Commitment
At least 6 hours a week. Planning + preparation (approx. 1 hour), weekly rehearsal (approx. 1 hour), pre-service set up and rehearsal (approx. 1 hour), and service (approx. 2 hours).
