Jamie Jordan

Head Pastor & Founder of Encounter Church

Jamie Jordan is the pastor of Encounter Church, a new faith community planted in the heart of Richmond. Jamie is blessed to work with a passionate and skilled crew in the formation of Encounter Church. His ministry began behind a computer, moved out into youth ministry, and then continued as an associate pastor. The call of God came mid-2023 to step out to do “a new thing.” Encounter Church is the result!

Jamie’s passions for ministry are at least two-fold: First, he believes that all churches should work together in order to bless their communities. Second, every person has something to offer to build up God’s Kingdom and their community. Jamie loves helping people find their place of service. And joy is the result!

Jamie also serves as Director of the Richmond non-profit, Enrich, which provides employment and additional support services to people with alternative resumes in Richmond, KY.

Jamie is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and has been happily married to his wife, Stacy, for 21 years. He has three children, all of whom are growing up too quickly. You’ll often find him sporting his Kentucky Wildcat blue, drinking coffee at Purdy’s, or hiking with his family.

Jamie hopes you’ll visit Encounter Church soon if you haven’t already!
